An Ohio native who grew up in Canton, singer-songwriter Rynn left Northeast Ohio a few years ago to study at Belmont University. While there, she released her debut EP, Nightfire. That EP spawned the hit “Islands,” a song that’s been streamed on Spotify more than 8.5 million times.

Two years ago, Rynn moved to L.A. to pursue her musical career, and on Tuesday, she’ll make her TV debut on NBC’s Songland, the show that pairs relatively unknown songwriters with producers and a well-known recording artist.

Rynn will pitch her original song to the Jonas Brothers.

She’s also working on a new EP that’ll include her last three singles. It’ll come out later this summer.
