Local singer-songwriter Adam Rich will release his latest solo CD, Kiss Me I’m Rich, on Feb. 20 on his own Love Muffin Records.
The title comes from a mug that Rich’s parents had bought at some point before he was born. He remembers growing up with the mug in the house and thought it would make a great album title and cover photo. The album commences with the instrumental “Kurtigo,” a track based on the time when his backing band’s drummer had vertigo, and locals such as Blue Antidote’s Ken Blaze, State of Being’s Chris Foldi, Shake Ground’s Ed Marthey and Cuyahoga Fails’s Bob Ignizio guest on the album.
The Cleveland Rocks Shop on Waterloo will be the sole location you can purchase it physically. Two dollars from every CD sold will be donated to the Gathering Place, a Cleveland cancer support center.
The label recently celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2024; it’ll host its second annual Super Awesome Concert showcase on Sunday, June 28, the Beachland Ballroom with Flowers Love Being Eerie, Craig Bell & the Dead Man’s Handle, Vulgar Devils, The Robert Conn Band and DJ Mimi Dromette.
