Sophia Fisher, a 23-year-old neo-soul/pop artist from Cleveland, has just released “Twenty Times This,” a new single that addresses “avoidant behavior in relationships,” as she puts it.

“The track is about the love we miss out on because of [avoidant behavior], a theme that’s both deeply personal and relatable,” she says in a press release. “My sound draws inspiration from artists like Sienne Spiro, Adele and Katie Tupper, blending emotional storytelling with soulful melodies.”

Fisher, who possesses a particularly soulful voice, has been working with local producer Nate Saggio and UK-based James Grunwell of Unitary Audio to craft her sound.

A music video shot by a cinematographer who recently worked on James Gunn’s upcoming Superman film accompanies the song’s release.

Sophia Fisher’s next Cleveland gig takes place at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 30, at the Beachland Tavern. She’ll open for AJ & the Woods.
