Massachusetts power pop outfit Boys Like Girls headlined a trio of bands at the MGM Northfield on Wednesday night.  Founded in the mid-aughts, the quartet has undergone a few personnel changes since its inception, but the power pop sensibilities still echo strongly twenty-plus years after the band’s formation.

Openers Arrows In Action played a strong indie pop set, while interestingly-named I Don’t Know How But They Found Me (usually presented as IDKHow But They Found Me) acted as the center arc of the trifecta.  Any self-respecting ’80s child would almost immediately understand the pop culture reference of the band’s name. While the members are on the younger side, the old folks in the room appreciated their humor and  musical abilities.
