Bay Village native and Filter frontman Richard Patrick and his bandmates returned home and put on an amazing show at the House of Blues this week. Filter, which formed in Cleveland 1993, treated the hometown crowd to a solid 19-song set that mixed new songs from The Algorithm — including “The Drowning” and “For the Beaten” — with fan favorites like “Take a Picture” and “Hey Man Nice Shot.” The new songs fit perfectly in the setlist with their classic material, providing a modern take on the soaring anthemic Filter sound. The band is celebrating 30 years of music and touring. The crowd was up and cheering as Filter brought the set to a triumphant conclusion, living up to the old adage “Leave them wanting more songs from Filter.”
