Many in the Kent, area, including myself, were thrilled to see that The Fixx was going to headline at the Kent Stage this year, and the excitement was palpable at the sold-out show.
The New Wave band was a standing fixture on MTV in the 1980s and always had a hip kind of feel with smart lyrics that touched on the political upheaval at the time.
The band had 16 studio albums, so there was a lot of music to please the crowd. They played five songs off the Reach the Beach album and then continued with cuts from Shuttered Room, Phantoms, Walkabout. “Outside” kicked off the concert “Saved By Zero” closed it all down after more than two hours in between.
