Noted record collector and music aficionado, Mazi Jahi, the co-founder of Touch Supper Club that comic book artist and music critic Harvey Pekar once called the “soul archeologist of Cleveland,” will spin ’60s and ’70s soul at 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 6, at the Cleveland Museum of Art’s Mix: Soul. According to the press release, “Jahi steps out of retirement and returns to his roots with his special brand of commercial and B-label soul, exclusively for MIX at CMA.”

At Mix: Soul, patrons can also create musical collages inspired by Romare Bearden’s Wrapping It Up at the Lafayette, and they can try to make their own soul album covers using simple printmaking techniques. The event takes place from 5 to 9 p.m. and at 6 and 8 p.m., you’ll be able to tour the African American art in the collection. At 7 p.m., there will be a demonstration of “ArtLens,” the museum’s collections app. All tours will meet on the East Allee at the top of the escalator. Tickets are $8 in advance, and $10 at the door.
