Led by madcap singer Eugene Hutz, an engaging performer who regularly ran the length of the stage and hopped atop speaker monitors, the gypsy punk band Gogol Bordello played a high-energy two-hour set at the Agora Theatre last night before a crowd that filled most of the theater’s lower level. Tracks such as the woozy waltz “Start Wearing Purple” and the Clash-like anthem “Immigrant Punk” — two highlights from the terrific performance — became rowdy sing-alongs.
