Update: Earlier today, local singer-songwriter Diana Chittester announced that her music video for the song “Paradox” was accepted into the 43rd Cleveland International Film Festival. The video will be part of CIFF's Shorts Program.

The program takes place at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, at Tower City Cinemas.

Original Post 1/21/19: One of the more high profile acts on the local music scene, singer-songwriter Diana Chittester has just announced that she’ll release her first full-length official music video for “Paradox,” the title track from her latest EP, on Feb. 4., on YouTube Premiere.

Up-and-coming local indie filmmaker Antonio Harper directed the video, “a theatrical journey through the paradoxical question of what is real.”

Shot over a 24-hour span with one director and one actress (Chittester herself), the video uses multiple camera angles and lenses to create "a complete cinematic experience."

“The story is dynamic,” says songwriter Diana Chittester in a press release about the video. “My goal of the video was to help make the visual connection to the lyrical intensity of the song.”

Harper took inspiration from both The Matrix and Inception, and Chittester plays the ukulele on the ballad.

Chittester also worked on the video with the local group Emerge Microcinema and with Wild Spork owner Lee Negrelli.

The video will premiere during an online YouTube Premiere party that takes place at 8 p.m. on Feb. 4 on Diana Chittester's YouTube Channel. Visit youtube.com/DianaChittester prior to 8 p.m. for a live chat and real-time conversation.
