Cleveland native Richard Patrick and Filter know how to take a 15-song setlist and create one amazing concert. After all, they’ve been doing much of the same since the early 1990s.

Thick fog draped the stage and the lighting dropped into deep, saturated colors as the  band entered, giving the whole thing a mysterious feel that fit their sound perfectly.

The start of the concert was dedicated to The Algorithm, featuring tracks including “You walk Away,” “The Drowning,” and “Trip Like I Do.”

Patrick dedicated the next song to his friend Michelle, who lost her battle with cancer. She booked his first band, The Act, at the Phantasy when Richard was just a teenager. And the crowd sung along fully to “Take a Picture.” Their mix of  rock and industrial edge still hits hard, with Patrick’s voice sounding rich and powerful.

There were plenty of hometown nods, of course, including Patrick’s mention of “Hey Man Nice Shot” being produced in Rocky River. Here’s all the action we caught.
