The synth pop sound of Gary Numan’s past has been replaced by a more industrial sound. This follows the progression of his last few albums, which have relied heavier beats of music.
Numan started his career back in 1979, and 47 years later shows no signs of slowing down. Live, he loses himself in the music, using his body like an instrument, thrashing in time to the songs. He moves his head and waves his hands, much like the appreciative crowd at the House of Blues did.
At 68, he remains a beast on stage. His voice falters at times but he can still put on a great show, which last weekend included 18 songs over 90 minutes. Here’s all the action we caught.
