The local internet radio station
oWOWnow.com recorded a Welshly Arms concert that took place last month at the Beachland with the hopes of broadcasting it live. Now, it has just announced that the show will be broadcast in its entirety at 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 27.
"At this Beachland concert, Welshly Arms arrived at that juncture in their career where they have proven themselves to be a major contender for one of the best new rock and roll bands in America," states oWOW Chief Content Officer John Gorman in a press release. "They are the band that Cleveland must now share with music lovers everywhere. Successful artists arrive at that next step in their career by experiencing that singular magical moment. One that will forever be referenced. For Welshly Arms it was this show. Fortunately, this show was recorded for posterity. I feel most will concur after hearing this performance on oWOW."
The band is currently getting some good exposure from the trailer to the new Quentin Tarantino movie,
The Hateful Eight, which features their grunge-y, Black Keys-like cover of Sam and Dave's "Hold on I'm Coming."
