“It’s a definite return to our rootsy/rockabilly/country inclinations,” says frontman Greg Miller in a press release about the album.
The record was recorded earlier this year at Rust Belt Recording in the same room where the hard rock act Greta Van Fleet had just cut its album.
“Those guys left some tiny clothes in the lounge from a session a few days before,” jokes Miller. “They were a little snug on us.”
With twangy tunes such as “Favorite T,” the album emphasizes the country and rockabilly side of the band’s sound.
“I’m really proud of this record, our 14th,” says Miller. “There’s not many bands playing real American music out there anymore, and certainly not with this country punk vibe. We are going to go out there in the van and do what we do all fall and winter.”
The band plays a release party at 9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, at the Grog Shop with the Torments and Bad Hooks providing support.
