This decade-old mystery band (members wear mummy outfits when they take the stage) emphasizes the old school R&B side of its sound on this, its sixth studio release. Album opener, “You Know the Drill” is every bit as funky as anything by George Clinton and the smooth sounding “Infinity” recalls Earth, Wind and Fire.

The Brooklyn-based band comes off as a hipster version of Paul Simon on this album. Tunes such as “Unbelievers” and “Step” have perky world beat rhythms that sound like outtakes from Graceland, even though these guys didn’t put together the same kind of ensemble that Simon did for Graceland.

Beware of Mr. Baker

(Snag Films)

While this documentary loses focus a bit in the beginning as director Jay Bulger lets former Cream drummer Ginger Baker ramble, it ultimately provides a fascinating portrait of a musical legend who battles an array of demons on a daily basis.
