With Father's Day right around the corner, it's time to figure out what you're going to do with Dad. Brunch and/or grilling out are traditional, but we think you should try something a little more outside the box this year.

Take Dad to the Zoo
A trip to the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is free for Dad on June 16 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Bring the whole family, and make sure you visit the newest giraffe calf. You can even vote on his name. The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is located at 3900 Wildlife Way.

Eat Hot Dogs with Dad at the Baseball Heritage Museum
On Father's Day, the museum offers much more than just exhibits. Gather 'round for an old fashioned listening party of the Indians vs. Detroit Tigers game, complete with board games and complimentary hot dogs for all dads. Plus you can save a few bucks, because this event is free. Just register here and visit between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. The Baseball Heritage Museum is located at 6601 Lexington Ave.

Take a Ride Over to the Car Show
The Cleveland Father's Day Car Show is a free, family friendly event. Check out some wheels you don't always see on the streets on June 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is at the Villa Croatia Event and Party Center at the American-Croatian Lodge, located at 34900 Lakeshore Blvd.

Ride Your Bike and Eat Ice Cream
Bring your whole family on the neighborhood Freedom Ride around Luke Easter Park, and then cool off with some ice cream. Register for free here. The event goes from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and is located at 3155 Martin Luther King Jr Dr.

Participate in Family Hero Day
The Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage is offering discounted admission to family caregivers on June 16 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visitors can watch the documentary A Family is A Family is A Family, which focuses on diverse types of loving families. You can catch a showing at 1 p.m. or 3 p.m. The museum is located at 2929 Richmond Rd. in Beachwood.

Check Out the Fish
At the Greater Cleveland Aquarium, dads get in for free on Father's Day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Kids can work on a festive frog and tadpole craft, or the family can work together on an aquatic crossword puzzle that can win you a family aquarium pass. The Aquarium is located at 2000 Sycamore St.
