Obviously, in light of what happened in Chardon this week, now is not the time to take school threats lightly. We've already seen authorities come down hard on a number of area a-holes who promised to copycat the carnage that ended three young lives. Now, another spectacular d-bag has decided it was a great idea to hop on Facebook and announce he would finish the work TJ Lane started.
The News-Herald says 20-year-old Anthony Harris tacked the following idiocy on his page: “I promise there will be more dead kids from Chardon.” The Painesville resident went on to say he had a gun and meant business.
Lake County deputies and Painesville Police went to Harris’ residence and knocked on the door, at which point they observed Harris crawling across the floor and attempting to flee to the upstairs level of the home. Officers then entered the home and took Harris into custody with no further attempts to resist arrest.Harris confessed to the online threats and referred to them as a “publicity stunt,” the Sheriff’s Office said.
He has been charged with inducing panic, a first-degree misdemeanor.
