Cleveland Librarian Won 'Jeopardy!' Last Night, Netting $15K

It must have seemed like destiny to Maryann Penzvalto, a Cleveland-based librarian who made her debut on Jeopardy! last night. The Final Jeopardy category, Name the Novel, was right in her wheelhouse.

Then came the clue: “I collected the instruments of life around me, that I might infuse a spark of being into the lifeless thing that lay at my feet.”

Naturally, Penzvalto, who works for the Cuyahoga County Public Library system, pulled out the correct answer (or should we say question) with "What is Frankenstein?" The answer landed her in first place, beating 2-day champion Alan Harrison, and garnered her $15,801 in winnings.

The librarian, who shared her love of Harry Potter last night (see below), is back tonight at 7:30 p.m.
