Comedian Sebastian Maniscalco Coming to Playhouse Square in January

Comedian Sebastian Maniscalco likes to joke about how 50 years ago, his Italian mom would save a cake "just for visitors" and leave the crap muffins for the family to eat. He’s obsessed with food, something he discusses in his new book, Stay Hungry. The book title also serves as the name of his 2019 tour that includes a Jan. 26 stop at Connor Palace.

“The Stay Hungry tour marks the release of my book while I also venture into this new chapter of my life: being a dad. Lately, I’ve found myself reflecting on my path and all of the hard work it has taken to get to this point in my career. I hope to one day pass these values on to my daughter and encourage her to stay hungry for more,” says Maniscalco in a press release announcing the jaunt.

Dubbed “one of the hottest comics” by Newsday and “one of the funniest comics working stand-up today” by Esquire, Maniscalco is known for his animated live performances.

Tickets for the Playhouse Square show go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday.
