OK, we get it. Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks are both classic rockers. But their differences are more striking than their similarities, something that was certainly true last night at Quicken Loans Arena, the first stop of the summer installment of their “Heart and Soul” co-headlining tour. Even when they performed together during the middle of Stewart’s set, each appeared a bit out of sorts. Nicks wore sunglasses as she and Stewart sang his “Young Turks,” and Stewart, who didn’t seem to know the words, sang only a few verses with Nicks on her “Leather and Lace.” Still, the two seemed to really appreciate each other (Stewart referred to Nicks as his “dear friend”) despite their differences and each delivered a strong performance.

  1. The secruity guard that was on the floor during Rod Stewarts concert was a BIG guy and we couldn’t see past him.We asked if he could sit or move over and he was a real ass about it.You pay good money to sit there,I don’t want to see a guard looking at me!!I came to to see the concert. We had end seats.Next time I guess I would tell everyone sit up high,it cheaper to!!

  2. Crappy review, Jeff and I’ve read many. Stuck in the past? Not one mention of Stevie’s new material which are anything but. You are stuck somewhere, but I’m not sure where.

  3. My friends and I drove 5 hours from Midland, MI and then back again, to see the concert and it was worth every minute of it. The concert was wonderful. The audience knew all the words, what a fitting tribute to 2 of our classic rockers. I would do it again, although, at 55, I’d prefer to drive a couple hours so I can get home to bed at a decent hour these days!

  4. We’re seeing the concert this upcoming Friday. Can someone who’s gone already please confirm how long you waited before the concert actually started? Is there an opening act? Thanks!

  5. Im sure it was a great show. There two of the best old school people left.maybe they will be back to cleve next year.Sorry i missed it.
