Robin Swoboda, who anchored the news at Channel 8, Channel 5 and Channel 3 over the course of her distinguished career in Cleveland TV journalism, announced Thursday morning that she once again has breast cancer.
In a post to her Facebook followers, Swoboda shared the results of a biopsy from a few days prior.
"It’s not a fatty lump, darn it. It’s cancer," she wrote. "I imagine I will hear from my doctor soon as to how we proceed from here. In the meantime, I know my God is faithful…Come What May….and He will see me through this…along with friends like you."
Swoboda was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017, which she announced on WKYC. She has updated her many followers during her cancer journey and chronicled many of her experiences in a column for the Akron Beacon-Journal.
Swoboda is a member of the Ohio Broadcasters Hall of Fame and has additionally hosted and contributed to Cleveland's Christian radio station, 95.5 FM, "The Fish."
