A lake home in Whitehouse, Texas belonging to Cleveland Browns' quarterback Johnny Manziel's grandfather was destroyed in an early morning fire, CBS19 reports.

Crews responded to the scene at approximately 1:30 a.m. this morning where the Tyler Lake home was already fully engulfed. CBS19 reports that neither Paul Manziel nor his girlfriend Beverly Green were home at the time of the fire and that there were no injuries.

"Everything Paul loved and cherished was in that home," Green told CBS19. "He loved his house. Thank you to friends and family for all of your prayers. We are just blessed no one was in the house and everyone is safe."

Smith County Fire Marshal Jay Brooks says the cause of the blaze is suspicious and that the fire is being investigated as an arson.

The Browns QB, of course, got his start in the Lone Star State playing for the Texas A&M Aggies in 2012.
