The literary world and book lovers alike are still grappling with the news that Nobel laureate and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Toni Morrison passed away last week at the age of 88.

Now, Literary Cleveland has put together a reading event in memory of the late, great novelist who originally hailed from Lorain, Ohio.

Everyone is invited to celebrate the life and writing of Morrison at the Glenville Arts Campus (464 E. 105th St.) next Saturday, Aug. 24, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Fans can read aloud passages from any of her many books and also briefly talk about how Morrison influenced them.

Find out more about the event right here.
