Local rappers Nahzzy and PRESSPLAYMJ were both shot and killed at a late-night house party on Shaker Boulevard on Sunday morning, according to police and posts on social media.

The motive behind the shooting, which broke out around 3:30 a.m. on November 24, has not yet been announced by Shaker Heights Police and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations.

Both departments are investigating the incident, which happened in front of a home on the 17000 block of Shaker Boulevard.

Calls to the Shaker Heights PD were not returned Monday afternoon. An Ohio BCI detective confirmed the shooting, and that they’re working on the case, but deferred to Shaker Heights for comment.

On Instagram, posts and comments on the page of PRESSPLAYMJ suggest that the rapper hosted a “Mansion Party” at a house he was renting. A video posted on November 23 showed a bevy of partygoers.

Both musicians had a burgeoning local following in Cleveland, and had recently released new songs in the past month or so: Nahzzy’s “Now and Later” in November, PRESSPLAYMJ’s “HURRY N BUY” in October.

This story will be updated with more information as it comes in.
