A Maple Heights man, fresh out of prison after serving more than two years on a bank robbery charge, decided to celebrate his release by doing it all over again.

According to authorities, Markiko Sonnie Lewis robbed the exact same Key Bank branch as before, a mere 24 hours after his release on April 11. Lewis made out with just over $1,000 this time around, before getting caught by police.

The initial robbery of the Key Bank occurred in Nov. 2015, for which Lewis served 30 months in prison, which included time already served.

Lewis apparently has not been assigned an attorney yet, but whoever does end up representing him has their work cut out for them, as the defense "living life like it's the movie Groundhog Day" has no legal precedent.
