An Ohio man recently restored an enormous green goblin head back to its glossy glory, decades after it was featured in a Stephen King horror film.
Tim Shockey of Piketon, OH began fixing up the 8 foot fiberglass face last year after the prop had spent years taking up space in his backyard. The gigantic artifact was originally featured in the 1986 Stephen King horror film Maximum Overdrive.
Shockey, a movie buff and former video store owner, bought the artifact in 1987 from someone who'd acquired it at a junkyard sale. The goblin head is just one of some 600 Hollywood movie set pieces that Shockey owns, the Associated Press reported.
To help pay for the restoration project, Shockey began marketing "Goblin Dust," which he sanded off the prop and sold online for $10 a pop.
Now Shockey and his green goblin plan to make appearances at a variety of film conventions, including Horror Realm, Pittsburgh's modern horror convention, next month.
