These protests have been billed by organizers as the first in a series of non-stop demonstrations with the ultimate goal of removing President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence from office. They are, roughly, the raison d’etre of the organization.
“This Nightmare Must End: The Trump/Pence Regime Must Go!” screams the Refuse Fascism literature. “In the Name of Humanity, We REFUSE to Accept a Fascist America!”
The forthcoming events have naturally spawned a chorus of war cries from the digital radical right — many of whose card-carriers have adopted the hashtag #civilwar2017 — but local and national organizers insist that the demonstrations will be nonviolent.
Scene asked local organizer Jeremy Brustein how, then, Refuse Fascism intended to remove Trump and Pence from power, if not by force. Brustein responded that there were any number of mechanisms, not the least of which was impeachment, but the goal of the protests was to produce so much sustained attention on and opposition to the administration that it would have no choice but to buckle under the pressure.
That sentiment is reflected in the event literature.
“Our determination to persist and not back down will compel the whole world to take note,” reads the description. “Every force and faction in the power structure would be forced to respond to our demand. The cracks and divisions among the powers already evident today will sharpen and widen. As we draw more and more people forward to stand up, all of this could lead to a situation where this illegitimate regime is removed from power.”
Refuse Fascism is a national organization that far-right opponents castigate as “George-Soros-funded.” Scene covered one local alt-right personality (the guy who, for a brief stint, was dressing up in chain mail and picking up garbage downtown on a daily basis) this summer. He viewed the Refuse Fascism folks as his primary adversaries.

While the article’s content is good the title is misleading in two ways. For one “Antifa” is an organization not a general term for anyone opposed to fascism and Antifa has not endorsed Nov 4th. They are welcome to endorse as is everyone from any perspective who unites with the demand, “This Nightmare Must End, The Trump/Pence Regime Must Go!” Secondly, the use of this word “Revolution” plays into the lies of various fascist organizations that claim Nov 4th is a call for “civil war,” a lie being used to justify violent threats against those organizing for the 4th and to intimidate those who are thinking about participating. As the call from Refuse Fascism makes clear, “Only the people acting together in non-violent mass protest… can end this nightmare” Threatening nuclear war, accelerating environmental destruction, applauding hateful attacks against all those who are not straight, white, American and a Trump supporter – this regime is indeed a terrible nightmare. Antifa is a domestic terrorist organization that attempts to shut down conservative and libertarian speech through violence, which is anti-American.
Prediction: This won’t gather much steam in Cleveland. There aren’t enough progressive nuts in Cleveland that would be willing to do this. Cleveland is a city of real people. It’s not full of people out of touch with reality like in Berkeley. They will have to ship people in like they usually do.

These progressive nuts will continue to hurt the cause of liberals. They are too stupid to realize it. Anyone going around calling Trump a fascist or Hitler is a complete moron. Nationalism and patriotism are not the same as fascism. Most of these morons don’t even know what fascism is. If Trump was actually running a fascist regime, he would be able to pass any laws he wanted, which obviously is not the case. Also, the case of racism against Trump is pretty weak. Jesse Jackson praised Donald Trump for his service to the black community in the 1990s. Most progressive nuts cite bringing Bannon on as proof of bigotry, but Bannon made a gay Catholic-Jew that married a black man into a star. But as we know, these people are not in touch with reality. These people are too nuts to understand the difference between an alt-right person and a conservative or libertarian speaker. Once the definition of “alt-right” became more clear, people like Bannon and Milo have distanced themselves from it. The true alt-right is Richard Spencer and the Daily Stormer. Those are the people that actually are racist.
Progressive nuts lack the ability to differentiate. They live in an echo-chamber of liberal news, which contains a lot of lies. Many conservatives do the same thing, but it is pretty much impossible to completely shield oneself from the liberal media. Instead of being able to evaluate information on its merit, liberals cast aside any information from “conservative” sources as being inaccurate, while blindly following the liberal echo-chamber. More sophisticated people know that dismissing something because of the source is an “ad homimem” approach as opposed to evaluating the actual information, which conservatives must do with liberal media news on a daily basis.
Example of liberal fake news: Various sources routinely report that Milo launched a racist attack on Leslie Jones, which is completely false. All he said was, “They put a hot black guy in the movie,” referring to Leslie Jones. At some point people started attacking Leslie Jones with racial epithets. The media claims Milo started it (he started nothing) and is responsible for it, while rarely holding liberals responsible for what their followers do. When asshole Jake Tapper tried to talk to Bernie Sanders about one of his followers attempting to attack Trump, Bernie said that he can’t be responsible for what his supporters do. And he’s absolutely right.
In my opinion, resisting the “anti-fascists” is the thing to do. The “anti-fascists” are the most fascist-like thing in America today. Trump continues to upset both sides of the establishment because the swamp hates him. Politicians from both sides hate losing control. The media hates losing control. They continue to lose in the fake news Russia narrative, and things Trump says continues to come true. But he has bad decorum? So what. Who cares? Why do liberals love pretense and fake people so much? Why do they want people to lie when the speak instead of speak their mind? Why do they idolize the disgusting people in Hollywood? What ever happened to the 99% movement that progressives were crazy about for a while? That seemed to fizzle out. Although it was flawed, it was in many ways was a “drain the swamp” movement.

History happens in surprising and unexpected places. Charlottesville, Virginia…Kent, Ohio. It’s not always in battlegrounds like Berserkeley. Civil War 2.0? Why NOT in a backwater like Cleveland? The Altknight was roaming downtown this afternoon. I saw him on E. 4th and in Public Square. His face was all scratched up like he had been fighting. Why is he allowed to carry a sword Downtown? What is he going to do to the protesters on the 4th and why does he never get in trouble? How does he have access to the tunnels under downtown?
ALERT! Downtown workers are quietly being told not to come to work on Nov4-6. The Public Square ice skating rink installation was postponed from its original date on the 5th and 6th. Something is going on. Don’t go downtown this weekend if you can avoid it.
The solution to this is to call your local police station tell them that antifa is organizing a rally in your city. Tell them that you are afraid that antifa is going to assault people tomorrow. The police will follow around members. Antifa will walk around like neutered dogs because the police are following them everywhere they go. The group today was neutralized by heavy police presence and chainmail guy showed up with a megaphone and overshouted everything.
There was a slight scuffle during the march involving, OF COURSE, chainmail guy. He was not detained and instead continued subverting the event until the militia showed up who he appeared to be friends with. Good point, “Right Wing Troll Person.” Obviously, the clown is a delusional and angry person. He hates anyone that disagrees with him and wants them silenced, which is a hallmark of fascism. He’s delusional because it’s clearly not the case that all of Scene’s readers are left of center. I think for the majority of Scene readers, they subscribe to the Scene social media to learn about concerts, restaurants, etc. The articles get little readership. This would be an article that has a lot of comments for Scene (most have zero), and it only has 27 comments. Obviously that includes getting bombarded with liberal articles, but that’s everywhere these days. And when the articles are particularly dumb, the free-thinkers speak up.
But you have to admit, the clown’s use of “SCENE” in all-CAPS was pretty cool. Honestly, the last rant is too incoherent to try to waste time understanding what he actually meant. Obviously, there is no actual content to it.
There’s only a few wingnuts like the clown in Cleveland that actually think the cause of “Refuse Fascism” and antifa have legitimacy. Another proof that clown is delusional is that he thinks most people agree with his views. Based on the comments and the likes and dislikes, that is not the case. Cleveland has many rational people. Videos of the rally and march are posted on YouTube as “Nov 4 Cleveland Antifa protest ginger commy triggered”.
In the clips, leaders of the communist group RefuseFascism are seen obstructing pedestrians and attacking citizens with fists and NO! Signs. The men are Jeremy Brumstein and Robby (referred to as Brandon) from Fairview.
These people are dangerous and are openly advocating and attempting to disrupt our communities and overthrow our government for the ideals of Karl Marx.
A petition has been filed with city hall to block these revolutionary communist front groups from receiving permits to meet downtown as they are violent and require an use of additional civic and police resources.
Jeremy Brustein commented on this post promoting RefuseFascism. He is the leader of the RefuseFascism communist group. He can be seen attacking citizens and public safety volunteers with the red hair communist Robby in the YouTube videos.

Typical, no media coverage and any is biased toward the communist groups. I can’t believe I have to get the actual story from random YouTube videos and comments sections. Where are the real journalists in Cleveland who offer objective coverage? Are private citizens the only real source of agenda free news coverage?
