The folks at Thrillist have again compiled their annual list of the nation’s best burgers, and Cleveland, it seems, is represented.

Ranking alongside joints in major cities such as New York and L.A., is Cleveland’s Nano Brew, hailed especially for its Spicy Burger, as well as its PB&J and hoppin’ John varieties.

Via Thrillist:

A laid-back sister bar to the Cleveland neighborhood’s Beer Market and Bar Cento, Nano pulls experimental beers off a tiny one-barrel system that pair perfectly with its gigantic, sloppy, and amazing burgers, which include one loaded with PB&J and one modeled after the hoppin’ John. Skip the stunts and go Spicy, which you can get as a single or double patty (honestly, one is enough) piled with cheddar, poblanos, caramelized onions, and spicy mayo. Make it spicier with Stoner Fries: waffle fries topped with chorizo chili and cheese sauce. Maybe bring a bib.
If you haven’t yet clamped your jaws around one of these beasts, we recommend you do. Enjoy a burger outside, on Nano Brew’s delightful patio.

  1. I think I’m more interested in how the fries sound than the actual burger, lol. Waffle fries with chorizo chili and cheese sauce? Yeah, that’s a win right there.

  2. Gigantic burgers? Have they eaten at the same Nano brew as me? Don’t get me wrong, I LIKE that Nano realizes they don’t need 1/2 pound of beef to make a decent burger.
