Voter Says Poll Worker Bit Him on the Nose (Updated)

Update: Reports from all over are coming in that the alleged nose-biter has turned himself in to police. Also, a detail we missed yesterday: Williams allegedly headbutted the voter between the eyes first before going after his honker. (NewsNet5)

We were pretty bummed. Most of the day had gone by without any local election craziness. Not one irrational screaming match. Nothing.

Until... until... until...

NewsNet5 reports a voter claims a Cuyahoga County poll worker bit him on the nose.

Ah, there's the soothing craziness we were seeking like a dope fiend.

Flanagan said the incident started when he saw a man arguing with a woman about signs she had outside the polling location. The man was claiming the woman's signs were too close, and Flanagan said the situation was combative. He said he stepped in to try to help the woman.

The Cuyahoga County Board of Elections said it is conducting an investigation and is attempting to find the rover, whom they identified as James Norm Williams. Williams reportedly fled the scene after the alleged bite. He has not been charged, but we're naming him because the BOE is looking for him.

Flanagan — yes, that's really him in the wheelchair in that picture — the report notes, called NewsNet5 just as he was leaving the hospital. And for that, we thank him.

Also, if anyone's seen James Norm Williams, walk the other way.
