Cleveland Agrees to $3 Million Settlement in Water Department Discrimination Lawsuit
The class action suit, filed with help from the NAACP in 2019, accused the city utility of discriminating against Black residents of Cuyahoga County when it placed a disproportionate number of liens on their homes for unpaid bills.
