Advertise With Scene

Marketing. Events. Media.

The Scene Magazine has served as the city’s premiere, award-winning multimedia source of alternative news, events and culture since 1970.

Local Community. Local Readers. Local Advertisers.
The Scene bravely tackles issues that affect the local community and covers the most important people and events in Cleveland, all while growing the brand’s culturally-active audience across its multimedia platforms.

Our audience is diverse, nontraditional and difficult to reach through any other advertising source. For 54 years we’ve helped local and regional businesses grow their brand across our multiple advertising platforms; print, digital, social media, email marketing and events.

Readership
Scene readers show high affinity in the coveted 21-44 audience and are off the charts when it comes to interest in arts, food, news, sports, and tech. These are the young, early adopters all advertisers want to reach online. Get in front of them before your competitors do.

We also extend beyond the website and magazine to reach over 350,000 people across Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

Our followers are local, highly engaged, and turn to Cleveland Scene for where to shop, eat, drink, and explore in Cleveland.

MARKETING
Cleveland Scene understands that a well-rounded advertising plan must include SEO services in this day and age. That’s why we offer services that encompass increasing your local search ranking, website optimization and content, social media marketing, and paid search, to name just a few.

We can also offer audience extension services, reaching demographics and specific purchase intent to pinpoint your message to your potential customers. And on top of all that, we can deliver your messaging to our subscriber list to truly provide a direct marketing call-to-action. One size fits all is a thing of the past - all of our plans are highly customizable to suit your initiative, desired audience and budget.

EVENTS
Cleveland Scene produces a variety of festivals and boutique events throughout the year, reaching a broad range of local consumers with an interest in culture, dining and nightlife. Our event portfolio includes some of the city's most beloved fests, like United We Brunch, Vodka Vodka, Rib Burn Off, Taste of Summer, Ale Fest, Whiskey Business, and Flavor. Sponsor a Scene event, and you get so much more than logo placement. Custom on-site activations, category exclusivity, data collection, pre and post mini-events - you name it, we can do it.

Not only do most of Cleveland Scene's events sell out every time, but we’re constantly expanding our events to appeal to wider and larger audiences. From beer events, to food events, to music events and beyond, we’ll make your on-site presence highly successful.

MEDIA
More than 340,000 readers turn to Cleveland Scene in print and online every month to plan their social calendar and stay in the know on the latest in news, arts, and culture and events. Scene is published every other Thursday. Space reservation and copy deadline for display advertising is 5 pm Friday, one week prior to publication.

In addition to our constant print and digital presence, Cleveland Scene produces multiple lifestyle magazines throughout the year. From City Guides and Best of Cleveland, to Brunch Issue and Flavor, to Summer, Fall Arts and Gift Guides, we have the content our readers want and the audience you need.

Boom’s Pizza, Shaker Heights

Last fall, Ben Bebenroth announced that he and his team had signed a lease for the former Michael’s Genuine space at Van Aken District. When it opens this summer, Boom’s Pizza in Shaker will join the original shop in Lakewood, which opened in early 2023. Once again, Bebenroth is working with Richardson Design to rework the space to better align it with their service approach, which blends the efficiency of a fast-casual operation with the comfort of a sit-down eatery. Guests order, pay and grab beverages from coolers filled with beer, wine by the can, split and bottle and soft drinks. For this location, they plan to dial back the self-serve beverage options in favor of a streamlined bar program featuring draft beers and draft cocktails.
