Shaker Archaeological Dig

The Shaker Historical Society announces that the Shaker Archaeological Dig is back! Join us for the whole week or certain days, June 27 through July 1 from 10-3pm. An RSVP is required to 216-921-1201. Co-Ed Grades 5-9 The SHS presents a week of archaeological exploration in Shaker Heights in partnership with Master Teacher Rosemary Nemeth and Tri-C and CIA Archaeologist Elizabeth Hoag with cooperation from the City of Shaker Heights. Who were the Shakers? Where did they live? No buildings remain—only their lakes, dams and mill foundations remain on the ground, but what’s UNDER THE GROUND?
