Shockingly, Ohio's No-Touch Stripper Rule Not Being Enforced

19 Action News took their cameras undercover and into four Cleveland strip clubs and discovered what you probably could have guessed: Ohio's "no touch" law for strip clubs isn't enforced that often. Or at all.

Why Cleveland's venerable local TV version of the National Enquirer would pursue such an un-American story is beyond us. Many municipalities are holding off on enforcing the law until the courts decide whether it's legal or not, and the others, well, they are simply behaving as if it doesn't exist at all. And it seems the only ones with objections to the handsy performances are the family groups who initially wanted a "six-foot bubble" around strippers.

Perhaps 19 Action News pursued the story simply so investigator Scott Taylor could do a mock pole dance on a lamppost and hike his pant leg up while throwing out a cheesy line. (No, really, that happens in the video. Watch it just for that part, in fact.)

Anyway, click on over for the tawdry tale of how strippers shove men's faces into their chest to get a little more dough. Shocking stuff.

Yea... I'm so much more worried about strippers than rapists, murders & all the other assorted violent thugs we need law enforcement officials to deal with. I'd much rather have my tax money spent enforcing this law than on schools, truck eating potholes, emergency response services, tearing down all the abandoned properties, etc.

At least the strippers are employed, which is more than a lot of Clevelanders can say right now.

Leave the girls alone! The majority are trying to support thier kids. If this is how they choose to do it then thats their business. I would rather they did this then live off of welfare (which actually you cant really live off of by the way)

The whole statewide law was initiated by a far right wing FASCIST RELIGIOUS GROUP Citizens for Community Values (CCV) based out of the Cincy area who bullied lawmakers. The whole issue should be decided by each community and city.... While Cleveland is liberally tolerant, Cincinnati is full of ultra right wing social conservatives. A statewide law never should have passed and the notion that these businesses are magnets for "negative secondary effects" is just a guise used by the religious freaks to promote their ideas of a "Utopia World" to others who don't share their beliefs in our free??? and pluralistic society...

How about a stripper touching a guy who she knows may have money, gets his dna and then says he raped her. Yeah, think it can't happen. Wake up!
