Saturday night at the Rock Hall’s annual “It’s Only Rock and Roll” fundraiser at Public Hall, Rock Hall CEO Terry Stewart announced that the annual induction ceremony will return to Cleveland next year. It will take place April 14, 2012, at Public Hall.

When the ceremony was held in Cleveland in 2009, the Rock Hall Foundation executives in New York promised it would be in Cleveland every three years. It appears that they are making good on their promise. As in 2009, the induction itself will be accompanied by a week-long festival of activities.

Vince Grzegorek has been with Scene since 2007 and editor-in-chief since 2012. He previously worked at Discount Drug Mart and Texas Roadhouse.

  1. I think Todd Rundgren is way past his due. The man produced the top 5 selling albums of all time Bat out of Hell. Not to mention He was the first to play every instrument and do all the voices on several albums Something/Anything, Todd, Hermit of Mink Hollow and more. He is a major innovator in the industry. He also produced several albums for good bands. Bad Finger, Patti Smith (who is in the Rock Hall), Grand Funk Railroad, Hall and Oates and many more. Also he was on of the original Prog Rockers on his own and with his band Utopia. Also had several top 10 hits with his music and the others whom her produced. I just do not get it. And also there is not many Prog Rock bands in the Rock Hall. This is crazy man! It would be nice to see one of Cleveland’s adopted sons in the Hall.
