With the memory of disgraced and resigned former Ohio state rep Bob Mecklenborg still fresh in the Buckeye State's memory, it didn't take long for another Ohio legislator to step up to the plate with a new batch of alcohol-related issues.

Meet Ohio State Rep Jarrod Martin (R-Beavercreek). He was pulled over for a simple suspected DUI weeks ago, then faced a cavalcade of media reports investigating prior incidents where it appears Martin hit the bottle a little too hard. The full list — three incidents, all embarrassing — led Gawker to name Jarrod Martin "America's Drunkest Legislator." Let's look at the evidence.

First came the alleged DUI, which came with its own bonus of Martin telling cops he refused to submit to a sobriety test because, according to the Dayton Daily News, he "did not want to be seen on video recorded by cruiser's dashboard camera system shirtless and dirty from working on the family's cabin." Fabulous.

Reporters took the lead and starting looking into Martin's past history with inebriation. That led them to a March 24, 2010 incident when "Ohio Highway Patrol found [him]... slumped over a Chevy Suburban that belonged to state Rep. William Batchelder, R-Medina, who left his car in the garage overnight." According to reports, troopers tried waking Martin for 20 minutes, only to call medics in when Martin wouldn't respond. Long hours, long nights, not a lot of sleep. Sure, maybe he was just tired.

Oh, there's more? Yep. Via the DDN again:

On May 16, 2010, the night manager at the Residence Inn in Beavercreek called police about guests yelling and fighting on the fifth floor at 4:30 a.m. Officers found Martin and six other men "highly intoxicated" at a bachelor party. The men said they weren't fighting; just having a "friendly wrestling match in their hotel room," a Beavercreek police report said.

Martin's parents were called to pick up the men and their belongings, according to the police report.

Yes, picked up by his parents. Ohio, this man helps make your laws.
