With the Cavs season on our minds this week, we published the story of how the floor of the Richfield Coliseum ended up at a small Christian school in Virginia. Check that one out.

And while you’re at it, listen to this Bruce Springsteen show from 1978, performed and recorded just above that legendary floor.

Known as the “Firecracker Show,” 12/31/78 rang in the New Year with a firecracker exploding in Bruce’s face onstage.

One reply on “Audio: Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band at Richfield Coliseum, 1978”

  1. I was at that concert. I saw him 10 times over the span of 3 or 4 years. The best one was New Years Eve. I guess there was one show where they shot up 77 to the Augora and got to do a few songs with South Side Johnny. Great times!
