“I was envisioning a store where I would like to shop,” says Winings Lavelle.
Located next door to Parnell’s, the attractive storefront features a broad range of wines by the bottle, including some of the rarest gems of the wine world.
“This is a very curated selection,” says Wirth, a wine importer and wholesaler with decades of experience. “You can get the most expensive wines available at retail and you can also get the best under-$20 bottle from anywhere in the world.”
Collectors will appreciate bottles from producers like Romanée-Conti, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, OVID, Groth and Nickel & Nickel, while everyday drinkers will discover wallet-friendly scores from around the world. Pour has a great selection of splits, half-bottle treasures from high-end producers. A cooler stocks cold whites, roses and bubbles.
The wine is joined by unique food products like crackers, mustards and popcorn and gift items like cutting boards, serving pieces and cocktail napkins. Those products will be paired with wine to create custom-made gift baskets.
Look for in-store wine tastings and other educational events.
