Throughout this week and next, diners can enjoy three-course prix fixe dinners for just $39 per person (some prices may vary) at more than 30 member restaurants.

Now in its 20th year, Cleveland Independents is kicking off its annual fall ritual known as Cleveland Restaurant Week. The promotion, which diners can experience all over town, runs from today, November 3rd, through next Friday, November 14th.

The offerings are a great way to check out the new homes of EDWINS and Batuqui as well as revisiting old favorites like Marotta’s, Rood and Hyde Park.

Perhaps even more importantly, the promotion serves as an economic boost to independent restaurants at a time — and time of year — when visits, sales and profits are sagging.

“Escalating food prices have greatly impacted the restaurant industry,” explains Laurie Torres, owner of Mallorca and Cleveland Independents President. “Independent restaurants are, in particular, faced with keeping menu pricing low while maintaining profit margins. This has become increasingly more difficult. Showing support for these many locally owned, independent restaurants during Cleveland Restaurant Week is not only important for their existence but an ideal way for guests to explore the exciting flavors of Northeast Ohio restaurants.”

Many of the restaurants have posted their special Restaurant Week menus over on the Cleveland Independents website in advance of the promotion. Check them out here.
