Yes, that’s a coyote and, yes, it’s wandering near some people in the streets of Cleveland. Instagram user Darnell R. Ford (instagram.com/djrobford) posted these two videos of the four-legged predator around the East 36 Street and Payne Ave intersection.

The Instagram user follows the coyote from a car, expressing confusion about seeing the coyote within the city and surprise that a group of people standing outside a building aren’t freaked out as it approaches. Take a look here:

  2. A lone coyote doesn’t seem likely to attack a group of 5 adults standing together. Threat level: minimum.

  3. This is directly across from where I work. I usually walk my little chihuahua over there…..glad I wasn’t there when he was!

  7. That’s too large a predator to be wandering around residential areas, especially an apparently highly habituated animal. Experts agree: habituated coyotes are the dangerous ones. This one appears about as uncomfortable around people as your average zoo animal. It should be removed before someone gets hurt.
