A word from a caller: I go through Tower City a lot for work, and yes, I am African American, 21-years old [“Pragmatic Racism,” November 29]. I was there with my little brother, going around shopping, and yes they did ask for our ID, of course. And then I look around, I’m seeing a whole lotta white kids, probably like 15 or 16 years old, no parents, nobody looked over 18, yet at the same kid there’s black kids being asked for their IDs, and there’s a group of white kids not even being paid attention to.

  1. What if the blacks shopped at Randall Park Mall, where they… would be less likely to get hassled? It would help revitalize the mall and encourage a sense of unity waaay out there on the east side.

  2. no B’Bye, now that is segregation and if you suggest that then why not first suggest have all the uneasy scared shoppers(white or black) shop at malls like North Olmsted or Parma instead of Tower City. Tower City is a very accessible mall thats why people would want to go there randall is like way out the way
