Ilona Simon will relax the dress code tonight at the upscale Budapest Blonde so that patrons can slip into their robes and negligees for the inaugural Pajama Wine Party. “We thought, ‘Wouldn’t it be nice to sit around in your pajamas on a Saturday night and chill with a glass of wine?'” says Simon, the bar’s co-owner. “During the week, people don’t have time to go home and change into their pajamas from work. This gives them all day Saturday to doll up in their jammies and show up.”

Wine samples include five varietals and Simon’s homemade sangria, made with a Spanish Tempranillo wine mixed with apricot brandy, cranberry juice, and orange juice. Between sips, nosh on cheese, chips, and summer sausage. Simon is even going to roll out an indoor miniature-golf course for a Putt-Putt in Your Pajamas contest. “People say, ‘I don’t wear pajamas,'” says Simon. “But this isn’t about what you wear or don’t wear to bed.”
