Seven weeks into her first tour, California singer-songwriter Jocelyn Scofield tallies the pitfalls of the road like a vet. It gets fairly strenuous, driving 4 to 10 hours a day, loading and unloading equipment, sleeping in a new place every night, and getting lost, she says. However, none of those things bother me.
Scofields laid-back personality complements both her onstage performance and This Life, her new CD about romantic relationships that arent perfect or everlasting.
Ill also throw in jazz standards and a bunch of road stories, she says. My shows have a mellow vibe thats ideal for listening with a glass of wine and a friend.
