Celebrating its 14th season, Winter Jam is your shot to see the best Christian musicians without breaking the bank. The ringleader of Winter Jam 2007 is Steven Curtis Chapman — not the dude who assassinated Lennon (that’s Mark David Chapman), but a true legend of the contemporary Christian singer-songwriter genre.

Chapman’s orchestral-infused pop-rock sound has made him a five-time Grammy winner, and he has more Gospel Music Association awards sitting on his shelf than any of his peers. Chapman is busy promoting Now & Then, a disc of his greatest hits paired with his latest studio release, All Things New. So expect this material to play a large role in Chapman’s set, as well as tunes from a disc due out later this year. What’s more, Chapman’s current backing band features his two sons. “Words can’t express how excited I am about the guys I’ll have backing me up on Winter Jam,” he says. “They are two of my favorite musicians in the world.”

Fellow Christian heavyweight Jeremy Camp co-headlines Winter Jam, which also features appearances by Hawk Nelson, Sanctus Real, and NewSong. So prepare to be uplifted, but leave your “Jesusland” T-shirt and Buddy Christ dolls at home.
