One of the world’s first Fab Four tribute bands celebrates its silver anniversary in Kent tonight with Abbey Road: The Ultimate Beatles Tribute. Fronted by bandleader John Gilbert, the Portage County-based foursome was founded in 1983 with a repertoire that ranges from Beatles standards like “Please Please Me” to lesser-known faves like “Dizzy Miss Lizzy.” The quartet has since played a slew of county fairs, colleges, and Beatlefests throughout the eastern half of the U.S. They shake their mop-tops at 8 tonight at the Kent Stage, 175 East Main Street in Kent. Tickets are $15. Call 330-677-5005 or visit www.kentstage.org.
