Look under your couch cushions! Cain Park kicks off its $2 Tuesday summer concert series tonight. The weekly outing features live performances by local and national singer-songwriters. We want to bring lesser-known artists to the park, says general manager Erin Cameron. The inexpensive ticket price will hopefully get people in the door, she says. I can find $2 in my car. And if it isnt your cup of tea, its only $2. The series launches with a performance by Canadian bluesman Charlie ACourt, wholl play songs from his new album, Bring On the Storm. Over the next few weeks, the Juggernaut Jug Band, Blue Lunch, and Steve Poltz (the guy who co-wrote Jewels You Were Meant for Me) rock Cains stage. Says Cameron: For two bucks, why not?
Tuesdays, 8 p.m. Starts: July 17. Continues through Aug. 14
