It’s only been a month ago that Occupy Clevelanders were getting rounded up and arrested as the city’s patience for their Public Square shantytown was growing thin.
Now the Occupy movement has earned the love of Cleveland City Council, which voted last night in favor of a resolution to formally support the group. So … makeshift tents for everyone!
Occupy leaders expressed concern heading into last night’s rally (there’s always a rally) and council meeting, because nearly half of the 19-member council had not committed to voting in favor of the movement.
Now that they have, what does it all mean?

Cleveland has special people who see an opportunity to unite, rather than separate. I think there is much this organization can do for the community where unity is concerned. I think it will grow as a result of maturity and good – will which they have been true to. They are thinking out of the box as how to help people in need and I think that they have set their sights at being part of the Cleveland help network. Because of the good sense they have shown so far, they can become a very positive chapter of this movement of great potential. Other than the rapist story in the tent, it has remained peaceful and focused on helping people.They will perhaps become heros and leaders of the Cleveland area.
Nice!!! so much better than last weeks! Heros ? Leaders? Thanks Kenny.. WOW guess we are winning the hearts and minds..and waking people up.. Occupy EVERYWHERE! Occupy your hearts!!! And YES the First Ammendment is cool and it wasn’t a suggestion.. We STILL for now have a Bill of Rights,even though we are still faceing charges for trying to exercise it within City Limits precariously perched in Santa hats faceing forclosure in the Free Speech Quadrant of Public Square … post its city ordinanced curfew hours of operation.. we are still working on that .. Thanks City Council for reminding folks ! Its a start! Please Shop Locally this holiday season & support your local small business ,locally owned restaurants and clubs..and remember the hero and leader and the reason for this season.. Jesus..
