Kristen Ross was sentenced to two years in jail today for having sexytime with a 14-year-old student. Ross, who at the time was a Cleveland Municipal School District teacher at Riverside School, accepted a plea deal for felonious assault even though she remains steadfast in denying any sexual relationship with the boy.
Prosecutors tend to stand by their assertion that Ross and the kid did the dirty, mainly because they have ample evidence — 3,800 text messages, phone call records, and a picture of Ross’ breasts.

Thank you Mr. Common Sense. It is absolutely not okay for adults to take advantage of children. These sad, low life people, apparently don’t have children of their own. If they do, oh how sad their lives must be. This is the reason why it is so important for us to constantly talk with our children so they understand the difference between Right and Wrong. And, why it’s important we responsible parents moniter the company our kids keep! Apparently many people in our society are clueless to the meaning of self control! What many of us RESPONSIBLE parents teach our children and young adults, is that no one is to touch them inappropriately! Therefore, when teens decide to experience with sex (because they will) we pray that it is consentual and with someone their own age. That way chances are a whole lot better they are not raped, kidnapped, killed and or exploited by people such as these in the world.

As a father, if this whore ever tried that crap with one of my sons I would want her to be throw under the jail. When I was sixteen I was approached by a 32 year adult female who was friends with my buddys mom. She wasn’t unattractive. I didn’t do anything. People can choose right or wrong, even thow he was 14 he should have known it was the wrong thing to do. His parents should have had better communication with him instead of the media and trash kids are exposed to daily through entertainment. If he were taught some morality in his upbringing this might not have happened.

The plain and simple truth is that, as an adult (and as a teacher at that!) she is responsible for not doing stupid stuff like that. Apparently in between theory and student teaching practicums, colleges ought to start looking at some ethics and legal courses as mandatory curriculum as well!
& while I hardly think a 14 year old is a “victim” in this instance, I have to agree with the poster who said it’s just as much the boy’s responsibility to know right from wrong. Dad was only too quick to turn that teacher in, but had he ever spoken to the boy about sex and that 14 was not an appropriate age (and certinly not with an adult and a teach for crying out loud.)

I just want to say this. Was friends with the boy trey smith and mrs. Ross.. Mrs. Ross was always there for me. Always. She was my teacher. She taught special education students- the boy who made the accusations was one of her students. What kind of “victim” sends blackmail letters? It’s really disgusting to me that a great teacher had to have her whole life ruined over false accusations. The parents weren’t concerned for their child, they saw a potential lawsuit and payout!
