One of our reddit friends 2rideascooter from down south (Dayton area), posted these two photos on the social sharing site yesterday after spending an hour and a half digging out his car and his girlfriend’s car before work.
His photos earned him tons of virtual high fives from other redditers who have had problems with inconsiderate neighbors commandeering their nicely shoveled spots while they are out.
Has this ever happened to you? Have you found creative ways to hold your parking spot?

If he buries the scofflaw’s car……he may double – or triple – his next round of tedious, back-breaking work to clear the area.
it also tells robbers when you are not home
what a douche.
The concept of public space is too advanced for some people. And the threat may be illegal.
Sorry, but shoveling does not get you the right to claims “dibs” on a parking space.
I’m pretty sure that if he was seen or caught burying the car, he would have to unbury it too.
U spent hours clearing spot for u to park. And someone like commenter above parked there, u r car would be dragged down the street. U wanna park. SHOVEL!!!!!!!
Obviously all you morons who are being negative about the guy burying your car if you park in his space have NEVER shoveled snow for hours and had someone steal your space. How about some consideration assholes?!?!
There are places where if you put in the labor to remove the snow you have earned the right to park there for 48 hours and can bookmark your spot. Anyone caught moving your bookmark is within the 48 hours is subject to a whole lot of snow! I just read where a New Yorker tried to pull that stunt on a Boston man. The Boston man buried his car, but left one door available in case of emergency.
