Montelon in 2008.

  • Montelon in 2008.

Since the Lorain Police Department stomped through his Wickliffe home in 2008, ex-LPD officer Joseph Montelon has been a constant megaphone for misconduct allegations against his former employer. Law enforcement claims the raid was done because Montelon — who was booted from the force in the 90s after pleading guilty to sex charges — wrote threatening letters to the department’s Chief Cel Rivera.

But since the search, Montelon hasn’t been charged with a crime and maintains the raid was retaliation for speaking out (read all about it in Scene’s cover story “Excessive Force”). But now, new information obtained by Scene shows the Feds are investigating whether the 2008 raid was legit.

  1. the Euclid police department came to my home arrested me & my wife on false charges twice and I have tried to contact any body that will listen, our civil & constitutional rights were violated we were refused any attorney that was not working for the prosecutor, I wondering if any law abiding government official would be willing to listen to the truth at looking at evidence that proves what the ,judge ,prosecutor, and the attorney’s that did not defend me at all are doing. I would like to alert anyone how the system works how defense attorneys try and force defendants to plead guilty to things they are not guilty of ,how the judge’s are influencing defense attorney’s to get their client’s to take deals instead of defending them in court. how prosecutor’s with no evidence who offer deals to over indicted individuals who are plainly innocent. how judge’s help prosecutor’s get defendant’s to plea by threats and intimidation tactics I can prove this without a reasonable doubt, but tell me which news station, magazine, civil rights org. radio station wants to hear the truth or is it that people only print whats popular. justice needed*

  2. Wow! Thats terrible, I bet the police just woke up in the moring and decided to arrest you for no reason.
It is terrible that the Judge, Prosecutor and even your own attorney did not see that you recieved a fair trial.
