We know you’re all busy reading about Todd Akin’s self-immolation and buried in Colt McCoy’s latest grandstanding, but stop what you’re doing, because there is breaking news coming in over the wires:

In the Princeton Review’s annual survey of the top part schools in the nation, Ohio University is no longer on top, a position it had held two years running.

What’s up, Bobcats? Are you in Athens just to waste mom and dad’s money and embarrass them, too? Don’t you know what sort of tradition was handed over to you? For shame.

West Virginia is the new king. Moonshine or something. OU was pushed to third behind the University of Iowa. We’d make a joke, but we’re too disappointed.

  2. Agree. The people running this survey are clueless. WTF does Princeton know about partying anyway? And who cares what the Ivy League thinks about a subject like that?

    “The top part schools in the nation?” Let me put a vote in for Vince’s alma mater, if in fact, he has one. Better tune up that spell-checker there, Vince!

    Both the U of I’s on this list are tough schools to get in and to stay in. Partiers need to be able to recover quickly if they expect a degree from either of them.

    WV? Well it’s probably in the top 3 where it belongs. I went to Ohio, but it was much farther down the list then. They did close it down a month early my first year there because of the Kent State/Vietnam protests, which got a little ugly and there was always a busy bar scene in town, but we also had to work.

  3. I know the BS reasons they give for how they pick this out, but how do they really decide who makes the list? They probably demand bribes from schools to “not appear” on the list, and the schools that don’t pay them enough money get put as the top “party schools” in the country.
