Chris Hansen — he of To Catch a Predator‘s pedophile-ambush programming — returns to TV tonight with a new show: Killer Instinct with Chris Hansen. The show airs at 10 p.m. Monday nights on Investigation Discovery.

We bring this up only because tonight’s premiere focuses on serial killer Anthony Sowell of Cleveland. The episode will chronicle the tragic accounts and eventual investigation of Sowell’s 11 murders at his Imperial Avenue home. 

Hansen interviewed Vanessa Gay for the show — one of the women who escaped Sowell’s grasp.

“Vanessa Gay was probably the most compelling victim interview in 30-something years in this business,” Hansen told The Detroit News. “She made a really tough decision … if she wants to be out there telling her story.”
